Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Signed into Law

President Biden signed the $1 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R.3684) into law last week. As we've previously shared, TRAA advocated hard on a number of issues in this package and secured several wins. From the inclusion of Protecting Roadside First Responders Act provisions and the pilot program from the DRIVE Safe Act (S.659) to the prevention of federal increases to insurance liability coverage (H.R.2687) and non-consent and consensual towing rate regulation. The bill could have posed a significant threat to the industry and TRAA is grateful to have been able to represent and protect the interests of our members and overall industry.

As the U.S. prepares to celebrate its Thanksgiving, we want to extend our appreciation to each and every one of you. We couldn't do this critical work without your support. We wish you and yours a wonderful and safe holiday.

Got a question on a federal legislative issue? Please do not hesitate to email and we hope you will consider joining us for the industry's national “Hill Day” in March 2022!

Who We Are

TRAA is the national association representing the U.S. towing and recovery industry. We act as the "voice of America's towing industry" by offering representation, education, and leadership at the federal level. Much of our focus is on representing the interests of the towing and recovery industry on Capitol Hill including promoting positive legislation and opposing potentially negative legislation. TRAA is the industry's watchdog on Capitol Hill!
