For over 40 years TRAA has been the national “voice of America’s towing industry”! We focus on federal representation, education, and legislation for the towing and recovery industry. TRAA works with governmental agencies, legislators, and industry partners to promote policy that’s fair for towers. TRAA, along with our federal lobbying team, work tirelessly to promote and protect the best interests of the industry on the federal level. TRAA is the industry's watchdog on Capitol Hill!

TRAA is first and foremost a membership organization. As a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit it's the support of our membership that allows TRAA to do this essential work on behalf of every towing and recovery company across the country.

Membership Levels
  • Regular Membership ($500/calendar year): Any person, firm or company engaged in the towing, recovery, or storage industry (i.e. towing companies).
  • Associate Membership ($600/calendar year): Any person firm or company engaged in the business of serving or supplying the towing, recovery, or storage industry (i.e. manufacturers, accessories, services, etc.).
  • Supporting Membership ($100/calendar year): Any drivers, dispatchers and/or support persons in the towing, recovery, or storage industry. Member benefits only apply to the individual supporting member. Subject to verification; must not be an owner of a towing company.

TRAA is the national association representing the U.S. towing and recovery industry. We act as the "voice of America's towing industry" by offering representation, education, and leadership at the federal level. Much of our focus is on representing the interests of the towing and recovery industry on Capitol Hill including promoting positive legislation and opposing potentially negative legislation. TRAA is the industry's watchdog on Capitol Hill!
