National Crash Responder Safety Week (CRSW) November 8 - 14, 2021

FHWA's National Crash Responder Safety Week (CRSW) is set to take place this year from November 8 - 14, 2021.

The CRSW is our opportunity to make a difference individually and jointly for roadway safety during traffic incidents by teaching each other and the motoring public about our common goal and responsibility for safe, quick clearance.

The goal is to share these important messages:
  • Increase awareness of Move Over Laws among the motoring public
  • "Promote Steer It, Clear It" with drivers
  • Spread information on Traffic Incident Management (TIM) within the responder community
  • Encourage responder participation in the National TIM Responder Training, there are still a lot of untrained operators out there
How you can involved:
  • Work with your state towing association to hold a statewide Move Over Awareness event (in-person or online).
  • Offer tours of your shop, raise awareness of what you do within the local community.
  • Share videos and messages promoting your state's Move Over Law on your social media accounts. Note, TRAA will be posting daily during the CRSW so you can share our posts on your own company accounts if that's easier for you.

Who We Are

TRAA is the national association representing the U.S. towing and recovery industry. We act as the "voice of America's towing industry" by offering representation, education, and leadership at the federal level. Much of our focus is on representing the interests of the towing and recovery industry on Capitol Hill including promoting positive legislation and opposing potentially negative legislation. TRAA is the industry's watchdog on Capitol Hill!
